He, however, did not. Got milk?

I couldn't get this kid in from the snow.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Does this count?

Soon, peeps, soon. I promise. I have much to say (when don't I) but t-shirts and life are taking up too much of my time right now.

Ps - Loaded TONS of holiday pics on my picasa account for those who are closely related and don't mind looking through hundreds of photos of my kids/neice/family.

Halloween Eve - Fun for Everyone

The resemblance is uncanny, don't you think?

October 29, 2009

And we're off...the longest most random post of all time.

It only took almost 18 months, but he has turned the corner, literally...Shane is officially a walker!!! Just one of the many bonuses of this new found walking is that it basically happened over a weekend. He went from one step here and there to full blown no turning-back-now walking. I think I even saw him run a little yesterday when Bridget made a move toward blue doggie (which he has now decided to call "puppy" for some reason unknown to me since I've never called it anything but blue doggie, but whatever...)

So, as we've known since birth, when he wasn't even interested in breathing on his own, he's a little guy with his own agenda. Stubborn from the get go. My theory is that since Tim and I were the ones who decided it was time for him to be born instead of when he was "ready", he decided to stick it to us ever since by doing everything at his own pace, when he's good and ready. All I can say is thank goodness he wasn't my first or I would have spent every spare moment googling "12 month old not walking", "12 1/2 month old not walking", "13 month old not walking", "13 1/2 month....okay, overstating it a bit.... As it was I only had to google two things, "11 month old not really crawling" and "late walkers". See? See how much I improved internet friends? And if you believe that I have a time share in Arizona... no really, I do!

So, just to appease all you Shaneyheads out there (that's what his groupies call themselves) here's a video of my little drunken sailor from last night to show you his progress. Pardon the craziness that is my house and the bitchiness that is me, but, for the record, he never did call the dogs...

One more fun video for the week so you can also get your Bridgey fix - revolves around Halloween. Big day tomorrow for the kiddos as they have their Halloween party and Bridget gets to go trick or treating with "Grandfriends". Grandfriends is a fun program with the Senior Living Center right by her school - they go and visit them every Friday and play games, tell stories, etc. This Friday is the big day! Her first time getting to go on Halloween and we're told by the teachers that they "really clean up there". She is so "exciting".

Here we are last night preparing our treat bags for the big Par-Tay. For inquiring minds, that is strawberry milk all over her shirt...

Lastly, because OMG, this is too funny/embarrassing/horrible/___ fill in your own adjective/parenting... (make sure you click to enlarge)

HAPPY ALMOST HALLOWEEN!!

Where did everyone else spend their holidays?

Ours went something like this:

  • Doctor's office
  • Walgreens Pharmacy
  • Call to Doctor's office
  • Emergency Room
  • Walgreens Pharmacy
  • Christmas dinner
  • Doctor's office
  • Walgreens Pharmacy
  • St. Joseph's Hospital Lab
  • Doctor's office
  • Call to Doctor
  • Walgreens Pharmacy
  • Out to lunch
  • Doctor's office
  • Walgreens Pharmacy

I'M NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING THIS, or as my parents might say, this is not an Erinism... tpd will back me up.

Will try to return to regularly scheduled posting soon. Despite all this, I do have some PFA (pretty... bleeping... adorable) pics from the holidays! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and here's to a Happy and HEALTHY New Year!

Must. Decorate. Now.

I couldn't take it anymore - I had to "decorate" my blog for Christmas. I have no time for anything right now (much less the 38 loads of laundry that keep piling up since the whole Branson extravaganza) but I needed the holiday spirit on the blog. (PS - I'll be happy to do this for my blog friends, too, just let me know. I'm a little backed up for this week, but this weekend I can help you out. I'm totally payable in Starbucks giftcards. :)

More to come about Branson, hosting a Turkey Day party for 28 people and Christmas festivities being kicked off... but for now, here's a too cute picture of what we did last Sunday:

Isn't that look ridiculously cute? You just want to pick her up and put her in your pocket and carry her around anytime you need a dose of adorable. .. at least for the 5 minutes that she wasn't laying on the ground sobbing hysterically that she "needed" that other tree...

Q. Is there anything cuter than a baby in big boy pajamas?

A. Yes, when those big boy pajamas are halloween ghosty pajamas! (Thanks Matthew!)

July 30, 2008

Here you go, Mom (as Bridget would say)

I finally optimized and posted all the fourth of July pics. Somehow, I have none of Amelia and just these few of Shane. Sorry babies! Mark/Kim - do you have any to add here?

070408 4th of july

July 18, 2008

It's kinda like the 4th of July threw up all over my page, eh?

I changed the layout tonight to showcase some of my favorite summer photos (on the left), sorry, I'll have to refine it some, it's a little too much right now, but I'm too sleepy to do anything else to it. I'll leave you with one of my favorite photos from the 4th weekend, I can't even take credit for this one - Big D was the photographer here, I just added the artsy fartsy stuff...

Two kids in two father's day - who would've thunk it D-lant?

No babies were harmed in the making of this blog entry.
Relax - we didn't let him drink the WHOLE bottle... geez.

Happy Father's Day, tpd! You the daddy man!
Happy Father's day to my daddy, too!

Peachies for me and peachies for you...

No long post for right now, too tired and not enough time to recap 2007 in the true fashion it deserves, but just a quick note to say Happy New Year to all! It was a fun celebration last night, even if some of us went and got ourselves knocked up and couldn't imbibe in the beverages as much as we would have liked - hey, at least the boys will owe us next year!

I wish you all many more fun times with good friends and family in 2008 -
is there really anything else? Love to all!

And to Mr. Homeboy (currently sacked out on the couch as I write this) I hope your favorite day of the year, was everything you look forward to all year long and more...

PS - Kids, don't try this at home, he's a trained professional...
Sort of...

Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas to All

Christmas Morning Bedhead and all

Kicking off the Christmas festivities in my church best.

December 14, 2007

The Wiggles drive me to drink, too.

On another note, notice the Christmas decorations in the background? I may have stayed up until Midnight (or later) every night this week, but damnit, there will be Christmas spirit in the Delanty house - kitchen or not!

PS - I totally photoshopped that fire in the background since I took this picture this morning. I just couldn't take the empty fireplace, but it makes you all warm and fuzzy doesn't it?

PPS - Check back later as I may have to kick off the weather off for this year tonight. Remember this and this and this? Yes, I need help (not to mention the time I used to have last year...geez).

Apparently Norman Rockwell moments can't be captured with a 15 month old

The setting was perfect - mom and dad have decked out the lakehouse into a truly homey - we could be on a sitcom if only there was softly falling snow outside - kind of way. I, in my little Christmas tree shirt and goofy little country lake house hat, Tim...well, at least he had green on even if it was his "always" shirt with a mug of beer on it... we were holiday color coordinated. Bridget in her adorable little reindeer pajamas - what else did we need to create the perfect holiday card...well, other than the boys, but they didn't come this weekend (big doggy holiday party they didn't want to miss) so they will be subject to photoshop perfection. Anyway, what else did we need or should I say what did we NOT need? Oh yeah - a 15 month old with a mind of her own...

Mom - your hat is really much more interesting than sitting still.

Aunt Kim tries to help bring her slowly into the picture with the good old
"hang the ornament over the baby's head trick".

Nope - I'm not going to sit on this sled ANYMORE....

Unless, I can get on it myself...Backwards.
I doubt you'll hear much more from me before Christmas (2 weeks from tonight - aah!) due to trying desperately to pull together a kitchen redo before the family holiday party HERE on the 22nd, the fact that I only have bought two, yes two Christmas presents - one which is for my future niece or nephew who won't even be in the world yet this Christmas, two websites due to go live before Christmas and much more... SO, since I'm sure you're all in the same holiday crunch - I'll just say, Happy Holidays to all and to all a good night!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Halloween Festivities

I'm ready to go to school today, mom.

Getting ready to go trick or treating for the first time

I like this candy thing, if I could only see

Hanging out with my friend Matthew at Trainwreck

Sneaking in for a kiss!

Oh, I'm so embarrassed!

What have we done?
Want to go play some Golden Tee?

Dad's would be proud.

Halloween Flashback

Doesn't her hair (the little that she has) look red here?

Of course, I squeezed myself into a picture.

Our pumpkin family. Amazing how better Bridget did than TPD

The Tiger family last year... what will this year bring?

Happy Halloween Preparations!

Whose Birthday is it?

It's the nation's birthday....

Man, Matthew is McDreamy in those cool shades.

I'm tired of these "4th of July" photo shoots, how about you?

Happy Birthday, America from sunny Ft. Walton Beach

Kiss me, Love me, How sweet, Be mine, Friend

Happy Valentine's Day!I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon. ~Author Unknown
