Well, we definitely have a good eater on our hands! She's not too big, just over the 60th percentile, but definitely on track. Everything else at the Dr's was great.
While she still likes to be entertained almost constantly and seems to get bored easily (something to which my mom replied, "hmmm, wonder where she gets that") we are definitely getting more used to her needs and her demands and hopefully meeting them a little bit better.
Luckily, she is great at night. She knows when to go to sleep and gets up to eat once or twice and then goes right back to sleep. Now if I can only learn to go right back to sleep, we'll be in great shape!
On another topic, Mark and Kim leave for Mexico tomorrow. I'm so jealous! I want to go on a vacation, but right now I just look forward to going to Schnucks by myself! Next summer we will definitely be heading somewhere as this is the longest Tim and I have ever gone without going somewhere! Anyway, hope you guys have fun and bring me and Bridget back something mexican - you know how we love mexican stuff! :)
That's all for now, the little one will be waking shortly and I need to get some work done before then!

I like to keep it interesting so we got a new blog template today. I don't love this one, but it will work for now.
Bridget goes to the Dr. tomorrow for her 4 week checkup. I'm guessing she weighs over 9lbs. She is a great eater like her mom and dad. I hope she doesn't have to get shots, but I bet she does. I told Aimee I cry when my dogs have to get shots, so I can only imagine what this will be like. I wish I could get them for her as I don't mind getting shots at all.
Otherwise, she is still a little fussy these days (although not as much when she goes to Grandma and Grandpa J's.. so she goes there a lot!) and doesn't like to sleep during the day very often, but at least she doesn't cry for extended periods of time anymore. Luckily, she does like to sleep at night for at least three hours at a time so that makes my life a little easier.
I am back working again and trying to stay current with clients, so that is a challenge, but Bridget likes to sit in her bouncy chair in the morning (usually) and we all work on Custom Web for a while (the boys, too.)
I'll post some pics of her in a cute dress that Aunt Kim gave her later today.
Oh, she also helped cheer me onto victory in fantasy football yesterday and this picture is of her in her "Team Mommy" shirt. It's bad quality since it's from my cell phone, but I forgot to take one with my good camera. The little circle at the bottom says, "1-2-3 Webmasters". Webmasters is my FF team name and 1-2-3 is because my husband is a weirdo and always said that at volleyball games as our rally cry.
Well, that's all for today. I'll try and post more after the Dr's appt tomorrow.

A quick week 3 update finds us doing better. Bridget has settled in a little better and maybe the medicine that we got from the Dr. helped, too. The crying has definitely lessoned and while she still has her moments, we can definitely handle them!
She is sleeping better and likes to lay on her stomach and practice lifting her head. She still doesn't really like car rides all that much, but I'm hoping that will change as I like to cart her around during the day.
Here is a picture of her holding her head up from a couple of days ago.
Well, as much as we expected a little spitfire of a baby, the 6-8 sometimes even more hours of unhappiness has been a little more than we had anticipated. After a much needed Dr.'s appointment yesterday, we have learned that our little Bridget may be "colicky". The Dr. said in the past they really didn't have any treatment or course of action for babies that may exhibit "extreme crying spells" and that are basically inconsolible. Now, though, they believe that most of colic stems from acid reflux. So, we are trying a nice little drug cocktail of mylanta and baby pepcid to try and see if that makes her feel better.
So far today she has slept more of the day, although still seems to only want to cry when she is awake. Regardless, sleep is a step in the right direction as yesterday she was awake from 8am until 10pm with only about 45 minutes of dozing off. She needed some rest and her parents do, too!
We'll keep you posted on the progress, but we are all settling in and even if we have a cryer, we'll still keep her - just may be calling on some babysitters more often! :)
On another note, I can't wait for Lynn and Brian's wedding this weekend! Not only selfishly for the much needed night out, but just also because we are so excited for them. We love hanging out with them and wish them the best of luck this weekend! Congrats guys!
That's all for today. I'll check in soon!
Well, we are finally getting settled and have learned that Bridget likes a pacifier and needs a little help getting to sleep. We've had some rough nights with 0 hours of sleep, but she's also let us sleep for 4 hours at a time other nights, so we're working towards a happy medium!
I have finally posted the pictures of her entry into the world as well as many of the visitors that came to see us. Apologies to Aunt Carol and Uncle Don, Phyllis, and Lisa, Sheryl and Ronnie as I somehow didn't snap pictures with them! TPD was the official photographer, so unfortunately, when he was gone, I wasn't good with pics!
Anyway, you can check out the pics at delanty.shutterfly.com.
I just can't say thank you enough for the gifts, cards, dinners and prayers of everyone. We are so lucky and so is Miss Bridget to have you all in our lives! I will get around to personal thank you's soon, but I might need a couple more good night's sleep to begin tackling those, but I want you all to know it does mean so much to us all!
Thanks and much love until the next update!
Erin

Well, I am officially overdue, but there are still plenty of pool dates left, so those of you with later days are looking good.
Everything is fine with mom (besides getting really anxious) and baby, we did a monitoring test on Friday and the baby passed with flying colors, so he or she is good to stay put a while longer. They think my due date may have been a little off anyway, so we are just going to hang out for a while.
Will post an update should conditions change. Here is a picture of me today. Sorry, I'm a little bored, so I thought I would document my overdueness in a photo (very au natural - sans makeup!)
The flowers are from TPD. He brought me them last night because; 1) he knows how hard all the waiting is, and 2) he got to play golf while his 2day overdue pregnant wife piddled around all day.
Stay tuned!
August 17th - not only Becky's 30th, but also my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. There were many people pulling for this day, but so far doesn't seem like it's gonna happen!
Today got the most votes in the baby pool, with 6 people guessing it would be today. I thought today would be good, too, but I guess it's back to waiting - which absolutely sucks, by the way!
We'll keep you posted, but so far nothing to report!
Well, tomorrow will officially be one week until the big D-Day! I can't believe it - even though at times it seems like I've been pregnant for five years, I still can't quite believe we will soon have a little one!
A quick baby pool update has the scales tipping in favor of a little eej. You can check out the progress and see the dates and other guesses at:

My friends/family know me a little too well. Two showers - two mexican fiesta's - what more could a 9 mos. pregnant girl ask for?

The pictures are of the fantastic Chevy's fajita buffet and the diaper cake that Kim made me. It is so cute - I don't know if I'll ever be able to disassemble it to actually use the diapers! :)
I had a great time and got so many great things. It makes everything more real and I know that before too long we'll actually be using all this stuff!!
How cute is this cake? It is from Lubely's of course.

We had the best shower on Friday! I don't have too many pictures, but what I have is posted at delanty.shutterfly.com. It was so much fun and we got all kinds of great things.
We got the car seat and stroller from both moms, the swing from Kim and Aimee, the exersaucer thing from Lynn, Karen and Megan and lots of other great stuff that we will eventually learn how to use! It was great to see everyone and so exciting.
It makes it all the more real that this little one is coming - ready or not!
Thanks to everyone that made this all happen! We are very lucky and have a very lucky baby to be so loved before we even know him/her!
Most of you already know this, but I am an extreme photo-aholic. Especially after my loving husband gave me a new Digital SLR for my bday, I have been out of control.

I couldn't resist posting this pic of baby d's future best bud or betrothed. This is Matthew after bath time recently.
For those who don't know, Matthew is Michael & Aimee's first and is three months old. He was born on the best day of the entire year, April 11th (which is consequently his Aunt Erin's birthday!!)
We're (when I say we - I mean me, but they baby would be excited if she knew how many people would be there for her and how many great things she would get) super excited today since tomorrow is the big shower! Yes, I said she, but don't read into it too much-tomorrow I'll say he! :) Just depends on the day and I like he or she better than "it"!
The shower is at Allison's house tomorrow night and is being thrown by all the cousins - Allison, Steph and Kristi. It will be a great time. I'll post lots of pics of the lovely event this weekend.
It's getting excited that there are showers and classes - won't be too much longer now.

Okay, can you tell I have a lot of time on my hands tonight? I should be working, but I'm obsessed with my new bbblog. Maybe I'll start a new business - bbblogs.com (babyblogs... get it?).
I thought I would post our crib set for the nursery since I get asked about this a lot and many of you won't be able to make it by my house for the real thing! :)
Welcome to Baby Delanty's Blog. In no time at all, this will be a forum for pictures, comments and updates. For the meantime, this will be the place to come to participate in the baby pool and keep informed on any big baby events with us!
We want to know whether you think we're having a boy (Ryan or TPD, Jr.) or a girl (Ryan again or ??) and when the little bundle will arrive. I'll post pics and updates as often as I can moving closer to the due date.
Thanks for stopping by and don't hesitate to leave a comment or two or ten!
Love,
Erin, Tim and Baby Delant
